Here is a brief explanation of some of the questions you may have about Buff Backers Message Board.
What is the difference between first message and all messages?
This is a view of the message board, do you want to see the first post of each thread or all of the posts in a thread. When you view the board by first message, clicking on the link displays that message and all replies. Also, because all messages in that thread all displayed, no view counts can be updated or displayed. When viewing the message board by all messages, clicking on the link displays just that message. The same links are provided below the message so any message in the thread my be displayed next. Because individual messages are displayed it is possible to count the number of times an individual message has been viewed.

Can I put html tags anywhere in my posts?
No, you can not use HTML tags in any field except the body of the message. It can't hurt to try. One thing, you cannot use quotes (") in the tags. Here are some of the things you can do:
Bold: <b>test</b>
Image: <img src=url>
Links: <a href=url target=_blank>link name</a>
If you would like to make a table or line things up use the pre tag. This command:
<pre>Name: Buff 87
Number: 87</pre>
Will look like this:
Name: Buff 87
Number: 87

Your post most likely did not show up, because your browser did not reload the page, it simply pulled it out of cache. Please reload your browser and it should then appear.

Why do threads move to the top of the message board?
A thread is the first message and all its responses. Any time a response is posted, that thread is moved to the top of the message board. This way, the most active threads remain towards the top
[ top ]
Why is the latest response placed at the end of the thread?
Well, mainly for readability. The responses are listed in the order they were posted with the first post on top and the latest on the bottom.

Why is my reply in the middle of the thread?
The reply is placed below the message you are replying to. This is true for both views of the message board.

All forms at Buff Backers will auto fill your username and password but there are times when that is not desirable. When you are using a PC other than your own, it would be a good idea not to save your username and password. If there are two Buff Backers users on one machine it is probably easier to skip saving your username and password. One thing it might keep you from posting as the other user. The option of saving or not saving your username and password is very straight forward. Everytime you post there is an option to save your username and password. Anytime you check this box your username and password are stored on your PC as a cookie. If you decide to not save your username and password, the next time you post simply uncheck the box and the cookie will be modified.

An Emoticon is an image that is used to convey an emotion. Emoticons can now be placed in messages on the message board by clicking on one of the Emoticons below the message box. Emoticons can also be included in your signature. When an Emoticon is clicked on the HTML code will be placed at the end of the current message. If you wish to place an Emoticon in the middle of the message, type the text you want before the Emoticon then click on the Emoticon then finish your message. If you decide to place an Emoticon in your message after the fact, click on the Emoticon then cut and paste the HTML code to the location where you want the Emoticon to be.
